“Introductory Volume” to Cultural Heritage Disaster Mitigation Studies

At the end of Academic Year 2007, the research project “Center of Excellence for Disaster Mitigation of Urban Cultural Heritage”, one of Ritsumeikan University’s 21st Century COE Programs, came to a close.
This book was designed with the aim of presenting the research findings of this project to readers in an interesting and accessible way.

The Research Center for Disaster Mitigation of Urban Cultural Heritage will continue its efforts for research and education on disaster mitigation in the Global COE program recognized by the Ministry of Education, Sports, Culture and Technology, adopted in 2008.
